
London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commercial Education Trust (“the Trust”) is a registered charity (no. 801986) and a company limited by guarantee registered in England (no. 2419257). LCCI Commercial Education Trust is a trading name of the Trust.
It considers applications for grants from educational, training and other institutions for funding projects which promote innovation in commercial education, whether by facilitating new approaches and techniques, by widening access to commercial education, by addressing the educational / training needs of new commercial / industrial activities or by approaching familiar tasks in new ways.
Its primary legal objects are to promote, advance and encourage commercial education for the benefit of the public by:
• obtaining due recognition and special attention for education adapted to the requirements of commerce;
• improving the standard of general education;
• encouraging thoroughness and efficiency; and
• granting certificates, prizes and awards to candidates who pass examinations.
The Trust seeks therefore, inter alia, to promote and support business-related training and education. In giving effect to this core objective the Trustees aim to help organisations and individuals access the information, training and intellectual skills needed to trade profitably in a socially and ethically responsible manner. The Trust also acts as an advocate for commercial education.
